NE 18th Street Corridor Design Coalition

A Neighborhood Coalition For the Betterment of the NE 18th Street Design
Vancouver, Washington

Mission of the project

Our coalition's mission is to provide community input in the spirit of cooperation, for the betterment of the neighborhoods to the north and south of the NE 18th Street Corridor (between NE 141st Avenue & NE 162 Avenue).

We believe that together we can create a beautiful and welcoming environment while meeting the traffic objectives of the city in providing safe and convenient access to and from Interstate 205 for traffic.

Our History:

In 2009, the City of Vancouver Washington introduced a plan for the development of the NE 18th Street Corridor.

Our Coalition was established in 2023 in response to the City's budget approval to proceed with the development.

The goal of our team is to provide a voice for our neighbors, to ensure that the goals of all concerned are met to the greatest extent possible.  This includes, advocating for not only function, to facilitate traffic flow, but also form, to facilitate a natural and aesthetically beautiful development.
